Newport Rarebit (1935) on Sandwiches of History⁣ Usually, in sandwich naming of old, only one of the words in the title is baffling. Well, today we get a twofer. For the life of me I cannot suss out what connection this recipe would have to Newport, Rhode Island. Then there’s the fact that is nothing like a rarebit save for the fact it has cheese it in. Because it is basically cheesy scrambled eggs on toast. Don’t get me wrong, it is tasty, I just don’t understand the naming of it. #fyp #sandwic
