This three hour timelapse is only a small portion of the spiders complete molt. As tarantulas age, they continue to grow and need to make room for their new exoskeleton, thus needing to get rid of the old one through the process of molting. When they are done molting, they are very pale in color, soft-bodied, and extremely vulnerable. The frequency of molting dep
