🏀🏆On March 29, 1976 the Indiana Hoosiers, coached by Bob Knight, won the NCAA national title with an 86–68 victory over Michigan. Kent Benson of Indiana was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after scoring 25 points in the Championship game. The Hoosiers’ Scott May had 26 points and Quinn Buckner added 16. This was the first time that two teams from the same conference (the Big Ten) played in the title game. To date, Indiana is the last team to go the entire season undefeated at 32
