On July 28, 2021, Lieutenant Matthew Breininger and his crew responded to the scene of a grain bin entrapment in Northwest Kansas. Thankfully, these first responders had received a grain rescue tube and training from Nationwide to aid in their rescue and save the farmer’s life. | Nationwide

The Macon County Technical Special Operations Team trained in grain bin entrapment rescue and recovery today at the Macon County Fire and Rescue Training Facility. The facility is located on the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center campus and is part of the Public Safety Training Foundation. The Technical Special Operations Team consists of fire and rescue from Long Creek, Mt Zion, South Macon, South Wheatland, and Cerro Gordo. Grain Bin Entrapment- The goal of this harvest and campaign is to reduce the occurrence of grain bin accidents, by raising awareness of the hazards and raising funds to equip our first responders with the tools and training needed to respond quickly when necessary in the event of a grain bin accident.
