Amsterdam travellers are getting a new low-cost rail alternative. Dutch startup GoVolta will launch direct trains to Berlin and Hamburg from March 19, 2026, with one-way fares starting at just €10 and averaging around €30. Services will run several days a week before expanding to daily routes in the summer. With 820 seats, a lounge car and free seat reservations, GoVolta aims to make train travel as simple and affordable as booking a budget flight—directly challenging NS, Eurostar and ICE prices
