This beautiful stone was submitted to the Gübelin Gem Lab to check if it qualifies as an Alexandrite, the color change variety of Chrysoberyl. To check for colour change we viewed the stone in both daylight and incandescent light. This stone exhibited a slight shift, from brown to reddish-brown. This shift is too subtle to qualify as a true colour change.
