Wintry precipitation remains a near-certainty for the Lehigh Valley region after Christmas, but how much snow and ice will fall remains in flux, according to forecasters. A winter storm watch remains in effect for Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.
A winter weather advisory has been issued for Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 26. Freezing rain and sleet are the main issues, but freezing rain is the primary concern for Southeast Michigan at the moment.
