Jamie Campbell Bower tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that he’s ready to say goodbye to Henry Creel. The actor is playing the role throughout the current fifth and final season and recently made a surprise appearance at Broadway’s 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow.

The play reveals that the cave system was where Henry first ventured to Dimension X — now dubbed "The Abyss" in Stranger Things. That's the alternate dimension where the Mind Flayer and Demogorgons are from, as opposed to the Upside Down, which Volume 2 reveals is a bridge connecting the Abyss to our world.

Bower’s “Stranger Things” character, Vecna, may be a monstrous humanoid creature who lives in the Upside Down, but he has a human backstory. He was born Henry Creel, a boy with psychic and psychokinetic abilities.
