Record label Ador says it has dropped NewJeans member Danielle Marsh while the return of Minji remains uncertain.

K-pop label ADOR has filed a compensation suit against a former member of megaband NewJeans, the firm said Tuesday, a day after announcing Danielle's removal following a year-long dispute that stalled the group's careers.

K-pop label ADOR has filed a suit against Danielle, whom the agency recently terminated their contract with, and former chief executive Min Hee-jin seeking around 43.1 billion won (US$29.7 million) in compensation,

The update confirms that Hanni will remain with the group, while Minji’s future is still being negotiated. Danielle, however, has been formally released from her contract, marking the first official departure since tensions between the members, ADOR, and former CEO Min Hee Jin escalated earlier this year.

Girl group NewJeans' agency ADOR terminated its exclusive contract with member Danielle, and will also take legal measures against the singer's family, who "provoked the string of events regarding the legal dispute.
