Equinor ASA and Orsted A/S said they are engaging with US authorities over security concerns tied to their offshore wind projects, after the Trump administration issued another round of work suspension orders.

The Pentagon said the blades and towers of wind turbines could mask real military targets or cause radar to generate false targets.

Citing national security concerns, the Trump administration suspended leases for five offshore wind projects on Monday.

At 5:16 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued an updated high wind warning in effect until 1 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.

On Tuesday at 8:13 p.m. an updated high wind warning was released by the NWS Seattle WA valid for Wednesday between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The warning is for Lowlands of Western Whatcom County, Lowlands of Western Skagit and Northwestern Snohomish counties,

IF some of the stronger wind forecasts are correct, this will be a devastating wind storm in the Willamette Valley and at least parts of Portland metro area. We’ll hope that’s not the case

On Wednesday at 10:53 a.m. an updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 4 p.m. for John Day Basin and Central Oregon.
