On Christmas Day, torrential rain in Southern California set new records in Los Angeles, Burbank and Santa Barbara, forecasters say.
Another wave of rain was hitting the Los Angeles area on Friday, adding to the record-setting precipitation over Christmas.
A record-setting Christmas storm battering Southern California brought rushing floods that have already killed at least three people. Water and debris, along with mudslides, have led to evacuation orders and water rescues as the deluge slams regions still recovering from wildfires earlier this year.
Officials in Los Angeles and surrounding counties warned that the giant holiday storm could trigger "widespread flash flooding."
