NFL, Seahawks and Carolina Panthers

An NFC matchup with major playoff implications takes place in Charlotte this Sunday, as the Carolina Panthers host their former quarterback, Sam Darnold, and the Seattle Seahawks. The Panthers can clinch the NFC South with a win and a Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss,
Carolina won't, however, have defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton (hamstring) and inside linebacker Trevin Wallace (shoulder), who were both ruled out on Friday. Wallace will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery earlier in the week.
The Carolina Panthers will face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17 of the NFL season on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium.
The Seattle Seahawks elevated running back Cam Akers and tackle Amari Kight from their practice squad for Week 17's game in Carolina.
Seattle is also missing a pair of important starters in left tackle Charles Cross and safety Coby Bryant. On the blindside the Seahawks will start Josh Jones, instead. He acquitted himself well last week against the LA Rams and was a preseason standout with Cross sidelined, as well.
