Winter weather disrupts travel at Philadelphia International Airport during post-Christmas rush
The snow and wintry weather is causing travel disruptions on one of the busiest travel days at Philadelphia International Airport. The lines were long Friday morning inside Terminal D, and even though the crowds thinned out by the afternoon, the rush was still on to beat the winter storm.
Officials reported several accidents across the region, including one on City Avenue in Wynnefield Heights and another involving an overturned vehicle on Bells Mill Road in Andorra.

Snow was visible across parts of Philadelphia and Central New Jersey this morning, including Center City, as a wintry system moved through the region early Christmas week.
Sunday is the start of winter at 10:03 AM, but ironically it will feel more like Fall with highs in the mid to upper 40s. A wintry mix on Tuesday morning and a slight chance of showers for Christmas and Kwanza. The holiday stretch looks mostly quiet, with no major storms expected.
