Sixers have another ugly close in Chicago to start road trip on losing note
The Sixers melted down yet again in Chicago as they started off their five-game road trip with a loss to the Bulls.
Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George haven't led the 76ers to a win in a game where they all shared the floor this season.
Across the Sixers' losses to Chicago on Friday and to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, Maxey has only made 12 of his 38 shot attempts. He has gone significant periods of time looking strikingly passive, a stark contrast from the go-getter mentality that has netted the best results of his NBA career.
Tyrese Maxey had a special night Thursday, pouring in a career-high 54 points in the Sixers' overtime win over the Bucks.
The Dallas Mavericks (11-18) fell to the Philadelphia 76ers (16-11) on Saturday night, 121-114. Tyrese Maxey went off for 38 points as the Sixers hammered Dallas in the final quarter. Cooper Flagg and Anthony Davis each scored 24 in defeat for the Mavericks.
Momentum shifted back toward the Sixers after Embiid checked back in. Embiid, who was coming off of a 4-for-21 shooting game in Sunday’s loss to the Lakers, amped up his aggression in the second quarter and found a scoring rhythm against Pacers big man Jay Huff. He worked for post position, sank mid-range jumpers and drew regular free throws.
Here are the three biggest takeaways for the Philadelphia 76ers following their home win over the Indiana Pacers.
Michael Porter Jr. scored 28 points, Egor Demin added 20 and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Philadelphia 76ers 114-106 on Tuesday night.
The Sixers’ two available stars poured in 73 points Monday night. The Paul George-Tyrese Maxey pairing led the team to a 121-108 victory over the Hornets at Spectrum Center. George scored his most points yet as a Sixer, notching 33 on 13-for-20 shooting.

Sixers play like a lump of coal vs. lowly Nets
The Sixers looked flat and Tyrese Maxey had his worst game of the season against the lowly Nets. The Sixers gave their fans plenty of reasons to have problems with them, and it’s their turn to hear about it.
