ALBANY, N.Y. (NEXSTAR) — Almost 3 million homeowners in New York will share more than $2 billion in refunds in the form of school property tax relief checks and direct deposits through autumn.

Gov. Kathy Hochul on Tuesday announced that nearly 3 million New Yorkers across the state will receive over $2 billion in tax relief this summer and fall through the state’s School Tax Relief program.
