Lindsey Halligan has departed the Justice Department after a federal judge Tuesday barred her from referring to herself as a U.S. attorney in court filings.

Justice Department officials have accused a federal judge of abusing his power in demanding that Trump loyalist Lindsey Halligan explain why she continues to identify herself as a U.S.

The move comes after a federal judge wrote in a court document that the "charade of Ms. Halligan masquerading as the United States Attorney … must come to an end."

Franklin County Circuit Court Judge Craig Hellmann has disqualified defense attorney Leah Chaney from a case related to her case against Russ Faria. She had been representing a former police captain accused of lying during the Faria trials.
