A former world heavyweight champion boxer is expected to recover after he suffered minor injuries in a fatal car crash.

British ​heavyweight boxer ‌Anthony Joshua ​was involved in ‍a car accident ​in ​Nigeria ⁠that killed two people, local newspaper Punch reported ‌on Monday.

Sina Ghami and Kevin “Latif” Ayodele, both teammates and close friends of Joshua’s, died as a result of the crash, Matchroom Boxing confirmed in a statement.
