Playground Games confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will launch on Xbox and PC May 19, 2026. Those who pre-order the Premium Edition will get access four days early. While there is currently no precise PlayStation 5 release date, FH6 is said to arrive "later in 2026" and can be added to PlayStation Store wishlists now.
When it arrives on May 19 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, Forza Horizon 6's Standard Edition will cost $69.99, while its Premium Edition is priced at $119.99. Alternatively — and of note for those planning to play the game via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate — you can purchase that $59.99 Premium Upgrade Bundle, and play starting May 15.
The game is slated for release on May 19, 2026, which is just months ahead of GTA 6’s promised release date in 2026.
Forza Horizon 6 gets an official release date at Xbox Developer Direct, with new gameplay, a Japan setting, and PlayStation timing details revealed.
This leads me to the one line from Xbox's recent Developer Direct, which finally opened the hood on Forza Horizon 6, that instantly brought me on board: Torben Ellert, design director of FH6, said, "You'll start out as just a tourist in Japan."
The goal of bringing both Fable and Forza Horizon 6 to PS5 is to help each title reach the "largest number of people" possible, he said. Of course, Microsoft also stands to make a lot more money by releasing each title on PS5. After all, Forza Horizon 5 alone was reported to have earned $300 million on PS5.
