There are five college football games on New Year's Eve, including a CFP quarterfinal matchup between Miami and Ohio State at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

The bowl schedule kicked off Saturday, Dec. 13 and goes all the way until Jan. 2. The College Football Playoff carries us from there to Jan. 19, when two teams will vie for a national championship in Miami Gardens, Florida.

The 2025–26 season features 41 bowl games, including four college football playoff first round games, four quarterfinals, two semifinals, and the national championship on Monday, Jan 19.

The penultimate day of 2025 will bring a tripleheader of bowl games Tuesday, Dec. 30. The action begins at 2 p.m. ET with the Independence Bowl between Coastal Carolina and Louisiana Tech. With identical 8-4 records, Tennessee and Illinois will face off at 5:30 p.m. ET in the Music City Bowl.
