While Nebraska’s coaching staff has seen changes over the month of December, the biggest news ahead of the bowl game is with the opponent Utah. On Friday Dec. 26, it was reported Utah Head Coach, Kyle Whittingham, signed a deal with Michigan to be their next head football coach.
With Kyle Whittingham taking over at Michigan immediately, Utah defensive coordinator and head-coach-in-waiting Morgan Scalley will coach the No. 15 Utes in the Las Vegas Bowl on Wednesday against Nebraska.
Morgan Scalley, who was announced as Utah’s next head coach on Dec. 12, will take over immediately and coach the Utes against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Las Vegas Bowl, with Whittingham on the Michigan sideline in the Citrus Bowl against the Texas Longhorns.
