Winter weather disrupts travel at Philadelphia International Airport during post-Christmas rush
The snow and wintry weather is causing travel disruptions on one of the busiest travel days at Philadelphia International Airport. The lines were long Friday morning inside Terminal D, and even though the crowds thinned out by the afternoon, the rush was still on to beat the winter storm.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 6:15 p.m. on Friday in effect until Saturday at 10 a.m. for Monroe County.

N.J. declares state of emergency with up to 9 inches of snow, wintry mix looming in winter storm
A state of emergency has been declared throughout New Jersey as a quick, but powerful winter storm is expected to dump 4 to 9 inches of snow and sleet across much of the state. The state of emergency takes effect at 1 p.m. and includes all 21 counties. A commercial vehicle restriction takes effect at 3 p.m.
