Snoop Dogg is carrying on the NFL Christmas halftime show tradition begun last year by Beyoncé. The rapper will headline a full Christmas Day lineup for Netflix, which is trying to gain traction in the crowded sports streaming field by establishing this must-watch halftime show rivaling only the Super Bowl for superstar pull.

Snoop Dogg has long lived in Diamond Bar, California, which sits northwest of Long Beach and to the west of Los Angeles. He wore his roots on his sleeve early in his rap career, with plenty of songs referencing Southern California.

Snoop Dogg will headline the Lions-Vikings halftime show Dec. 25 on Netflix, performing "Snoop's Holiday Halftime Party" with special guests and holiday entertainment.
