Enzo Maresca believes England manager Thomas Tuchel should consider attending the Chelsea and Aston Villa match on Saturday, which will feature a clash between Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers.
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has revealed Cole Palmer is still feeling pain in his groin and will not be able to play three games a week for the time being. Palmer has made two appearances for the club since missing over two months of football with the injury, although his comeback was also slightly delayed due to a toe fracture.
Enzo Maresca’s side have picked up form, heading into this fixture with a thrilling 3-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday. Palmer had been expected to be back in the team for that game only for a freak injury to wreck those plans last week.
Chelsea threw away a commanding position as Aston Villa stretched their winning run to 11 games, thanks to an Ollie Watkins brace in a 2-1 comeback win. Joao Pedro put the Blues into a deserved first-half lead but a wretched second half from Enzo Maresca's side put paid to their faint Premier League title ambitions as Watkins stole the show on Saturday night.
